Dirty Doggs Kennel

Every dream has a beginning. Ours started with a team of sled dogs and a young man’s passion for mushing. A little over three years ago, my son, Lane, was working for an owner who could no longer care for her sled dogs. He stepped in and took on the entire team all at once, giving them a permanent home. From day one, an unbreakable bond formed between Lane and three standout dogs: Patronus, Storm, and Neptune, but if you ask him, they are all his favorites.

Honoring Shield
and The Team

The journey brought early lessons in resilience. That very first winter, Lane lost Shield, one of his absolute favorite companions. While her passing left a quiet void in the snow, her spirit became a guiding force for the team. In taking on this pack, Lane found the opportunity to start building the competitive racing team he had always dreamed of—a dream that carried them all the way through the grueling Yukon Quest three years ago.

Our Racing and Ambitions

From day one, the goal wasn't just to run a tour business. His true dream was—and still is—to race. Lane has dedicated every day to caring for the dogs, mastering the sport, and logging the hard miles on the trail. Now, he is gearing up to return to the competitive trail this winter, with his sights set once again on the legendary Yukon Quest.

Welcome to Dirty Doggs Kennel

Now, we have joined forces as a family to help turn that dream into reality. Dirty Doggs Kennel allows us to share these incredible athletes and the sport we love with visitors from around the world, all while funding our ultimate goal of competing on the race trail. What started as one young man's vision has become a shared family journey. These dogs aren't just a business. They are our teammates, our family, and the heartbeat of our dream. We are proud to share our piece of Alaska with you—and we're just getting started.

Driven by Dogs. Inspired by Alaska.
